Deepak Majeti has a wealth of experience in the tech industry. Deepak began their career in 2008 as a Teaching Assistant at IIT Kanpur. In 2010, they were a Graduate Student Researcher at the Center for Domain-Specific Computing and a Research Assistant at Rice University. In 2011, they were a Graduate Intern Technical at Intel Corporation. In 2012, they were President of Indian Students at Rice. In 2014, they were a CAS Fellow at IBM Canada, a Co-op External Research at AMD and a Technical Lead and Manager, Vertica Product at Micro Focus. In 2017, they became a PMC member & Committer at the Apache Software Foundation. Most recently, in 2021, they became a Principal Engineer at Ahana, actively contributing to the Velox project.

Deepak Majeti completed their PhD in Computer Science from Rice University between 2010 and 2015. Prior to that, they obtained an M. Tech in computer science from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur in 2010. Deepak also holds a B. Tech in Information and Communication Technology from Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of Information and Communication Technology. In addition, they have an IPE from Gautami Junior College and an ICSE from Hyderabad Public School. Deepak also obtained a certification in Machine Learning from Coursera in May 2014.
