Real Deprez

Real Deprez has a diverse work experience in the field of engineering and technology. Real began their career as a Web Developer at flyte new media in 2005 and then moved on to work as a Web Engineer at BeJane.com in 2007. Real then joined Edmunds.com as a Sr. HTML Developer and later as a Front End Architect, where they designed and maintained HTML templates, CSS code, and JavaScript libraries.

In 2010, Real joined TrueCar, Inc. as a Front End Architect and later became a Director. In these roles, they led the tech team in rebuilding TrueCar's used car platform, resulting in significant revenue generation. Real also played a key role in developing TrueCar's consumer and dealer-facing mobile apps.

Real then returned to Edmunds.com in 2016 as the Executive Director of Website Platforms. In this position, they led teams that re-platformed the company's website onto a developer-friendly universal JavaScript application. Real also implemented a fully automated CI/CD system and supported an in-house split testing platform.

In 2018, Real joined Headspace Inc. as the Head of Product Engineering, and then moved on to Endpoint in 2020 as the VP of Engineering. At Endpoint, they led the entire technology organization and oversaw the growth of the technology org from 20 to 100, as well as completing two rounds of funding totaling $190 million.

Real most recently worked at Carvana as the Director of Engineering, where they contributed to the company's technological advancements.

Throughout their career, Real has demonstrated expertise in various areas including engineering leadership, product development, and technology organization growth.

Real Deprez attended Tulane University from 1999 to 2003, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree in Studio Art. In October 2019, they also obtained a certification as an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
