Michael Smith

Michael Smith has a diverse work experience spanning multiple industries. Michael started their career as President of MODERN BUSINESS MACHINES INC, where they served for 20 years. Michael then went on to work as an Entrepreneur in Residence and Board Member at The Shelby County Chamber from 2014 to 2017. In 2016, Michael joined AHI Corporate Housing as VP Sales and Marketing. In 2018, they founded and facilitated the HR Mobility Peer Group, a community for HR professionals involved in employee relocation and travel. Michael is currently a Board Member and Co-Chair of Membership at Tennessee Relocation Council. Additionally, they have served as Chairman of the Harrison Regional Library Board and as a Program Committee Member at Tennessee Relocation Council.

Michael Smith attended Auburn University from 1976 to 1980, where they studied Business Administration and Management, General. During this time, they also attended Auburn University at Montgomery and obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Business. After their formal education, Michael pursued further training in sales and management. Michael received training at 3M, IBM, and Panasonic, focusing on sales and management. Additionally, they completed a Sales and Management Training program with Dale Carnegie, earning a Sales and Management certificate.
