Sumbal Chunara

Sumbal Chunara is an accomplished professional in the field of environmental, social, and governance (ESG) with extensive experience in leading ESG strategies and initiatives across various organizations. Currently serving as Head of ESG at Alfred H Knight since September 2023, Sumbal has successfully developed and implemented global ESG strategies, establishing key partnerships to enhance stakeholder engagement. Previously, Sumbal held the position of Group ESG Lead, spearheading comprehensive ESG strategies that improved carbon emissions and employee engagement, and conducted ESG assessments to drive sustainability initiatives. Prior to that, Sumbal contributed as ESG Reporting Lead at CityFibre, focusing on the evaluation and reporting of ESG data across multiple domains. Sumbal's earlier experience includes serving as Revenues and Benefits Officer at Stockport Council and as an Account Manager at Switch Group. Sumbal is also pursuing a Diploma of Higher Education in Environment, Social & Governance (ESG) from The Corporate Governance Institute.
