Andrea Wästlund

Andrea W. is an accomplished academic with extensive experience in computational biology and mathematical modeling. Currently serving as an Honorary Lecturer at Imperial College London since December 2020 and as a Chancellor's Fellow and Senior Research Fellow at The University of Edinburgh since February 2019, Andrea W. has contributed to the development of a stochastic modeling framework for analyzing cellular dynamics and computational design tools for Synthetic Biology. Prior roles include Senior Research and Data Scientist and Research Scientist at Imperial College London, and significant research at The University of Edinburgh focusing on mechanisms of bacterial growth. Academic qualifications include a PhD in Applied Mathematics & Scientific Computing and a BS in Computational Biology, both from Freie Universität Berlin.
