Mr. Shobhit Uppal(Deputy Managing Director) aged 54 years is an Electrical Engineering graduate from National Institute of Technology, Kurukshetra, India. He has to his credit, well over three (03) decades of experience in wide-ranging activities relating to construction and infrastructure industry including super structures, integrated townships, hospitals, hotels, commercial complexes, manufacturing facilities, and pipelines.

He has been instrumental in leading several mega-order wins and execution, paving its path to emerge as a leading construction player in the country. Under his able leadership, ACIL has transformed from being a plain civil construction Company to an EPC Company and this has helped it in carving a niche and unique identity for itself.

Under his leadership and guidance, ACIL’ gross order book stands at over Rs. 10,000 crores, with project execution in 11 States catering to both private and public sector clients. Currently, ACIL is executing some of the largest healthcare projects in the country, aggregating to over One (01) Crore square feet of area having a construction value of over Rs. 6000 crores; once completed, these hospitals will have close to 6000 beds with world-class health facilities which includes AIIMS – Kalyani (Bengal); AIIMS – Nagpur (Maharashtra); AIIMS – Jammu; LTMG Hospital, Sion, (Mumbai); Govt. Medical College Campus, Chhapra, Saran (Bihar); Medical College, Mahendergarh (Haryana); etc.

Mr. Uppal has also been a past-President of the Indian Buildings Congress, a building and construction industry representative body facilitating interactions and engagements with the Union Government.

Most recently, ACIL’s Central Vista redevelopment project (Africa Avenue & K.G. Marg, New Delhi) received special praise from the Hon’ble PM Shri Narendra Modi during its inauguration on 16th September 2021 for completing the project well before its schedule especially at a time when the world was fighting against the novel Corona Virus pandemic.

Mr. Uppal has also played a critical role for the organization to receive “Digital Company of the Year” by Business Leaders of the Year for FY 2021 and “Best Infrastructure company of the year – Buildings” awards by ET-Now for FY 2019 besides being individually/ personally awarded the “Most Influential Leader of the Year” by ET-Now for FY 2019.

Mr. Uppal’s keenness towards development of systems and processes has always kept ACIL at the forefront of technological advancements in industry best practices. He is well adapted to the changing needs of modern day business while keeping intact the legacy of more than four decades.
