Martijn Jonkers

Martijn Jonkers is an experienced tax professional currently serving as the Director of Indirect Tax Europe at Ahold Delhaize since December 2016, previously holding the position of Manager Tax Planning Europe. Martijn is also a member of the Committee on Tax Law Proposals for de Nederlandse Orde van Belastingadviseurs since March 2020. Prior experience includes roles as Global Tax Manager for Hertel, overseeing the tax position of the Altrad Group post-acquisition, and Regional Tax Manager at Corio NV, handling various tax areas including Corporate Income Tax and VAT. Martijn's career began at Ernst & Young, where roles progressed from Consultant to Manager, specializing in Corporate Income Tax and International taxation, primarily for Japanese and European multinationals. Educational qualifications include a Master's Course in Real Estate Taxation from Erasmus University Rotterdam, alongside degrees from the University of Amsterdam in Tax Economics and Sociology.
