Alex Cartwright

Head of Robotics at Ai Build

Alex Cartwright is the head of robotics at Ai Build. Prior to joining Ai Build, Alex worked as an intern at Goonhilly Earth Station Ltd and as a sponsored student at ESA/ESTEC.

At Goonhilly Earth Station Ltd, Alex worked on an independent project assessing the feasibility of setting up a Ku-band antenna testing range either on-site or externally. This projected necessitated independent research into antenna theory, performance of on-site transmission experiments, investigation and assessment of the available options, and collation and presentation of results into a final report which was presented to the CEO and upper management. Other tasks included assisting in day-to-day tasks such as moving antennas, setting up ethernet connections, and presenting at the 'Summer School Week' that the company hosted, aimed at young students.

At ESA/ESTEC, Alex worked as a sponsored student on a project to develop a new algorithm for attitude determination and control systems for small satellites. This involved research into attitude determination systems, development of the new algorithm using MATLAB, and testing of the algorithm using simulation software. The results of this project were presented in a final report which was submitted to the sponsors.

Alex Cartwright completed a MEng in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Bristol.

Alex Cartwright reports to Daghan Cam, Co-Founder & CEO. Some of their coworkers include Michail Desyllas - Co-Founder & COO, Luke Rogers - Commercial Director, and Aimee-May Graham - Digital Marketing Executive.
