Laura Haaber Ihle

Associate Researcher at AI Ethics Lab

Laura Haaber Ihle is an Associate Researcher at Harvard University's AI Ethics Lab. Laura has also been a Visiting Research Fellow at Harvard University's Graduate School of Arts and Sciences and an Instructor at EBC Hochschule in Berlin. Laura has a strong interest in ethics and AI and has developed a series of workshops on Ethics and AI with the AI Ethics Lab. The objective of the workshops is to help participants understand how ethical challenges in technology can be approached, analyzed and solved in a systematic manner. Laura is also an external editor at Aarhus University Press.

Laura Haaber Ihle has a Bachelor of Arts from Harvard University in Philosophy and a Doctor of Philosophy from Scuola Superiore Sant'Anna in Global Politics: Legal, Philosophical and Economic Challenge. Laura also has a Master of Arts from Roskilde University in Philosophy & Science Theory and a Master of Arts in Performance Design from Roskilde University. Laura was an exchange student at the University of Potsdam in 2006-2007.

AI Ethics Lab brings together researchers and practitioners from various disciplines to detect and solve issues related to ethical design in AI. Through collaboration between computer scientists, practicing lawyers and legal scholars, and philosophers, the Lab offers a comprehensive approach to ethical design of AI-related technology. Their goal is to enhance technology development by integrating ethics from the earliest stages of design and development for the mutual benefit of industry and communities. Their work aims to provide ethics guidance to researchers, developers, and legislators.
