Lara Degani

Lara Degani is a Biophysics Research Associate at AI Proteins since August 2023, with prior experience as a Research Assistant at UChicago Medicine where research focused on neuroendocrine tumor cells and the effects of Artemin receptor inhibition. Lara also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant in the Biological Sciences Collegiate Division at the University of Chicago, conducting laboratory sessions and grading assignments. Earlier, as a Laboratory Technician in the Department of Organismal Biology and Anatomy, Lara managed zebrafish facility care. A Summer Nephrology Research Fellow at UChicago Medicine, Lara developed a patient-specific stem cell bank to study kidney disease. Lara holds a Bachelor of Science in Biological Chemistry from the University of Chicago and graduated with honors from Pittsford-Mendon High School.
