Stefan Schaffer is an accomplished professional in the field of Human-AI interaction, currently serving as the Head of the Human-AI Interaction Group and Senior Researcher at the Deutsches Forschungszentrum für Künstliche Intelligenz (DFKI) since February 2014. With extensive experience in defining vision and strategy for conversational AI and mobility concepts, Stefan has also held roles as a researcher and lecturer at various institutions, including the AI Transformation Institute and Hochschule der Bildenden Künste Saar. Previous positions include product manager at Linon Medien and researcher at Technische Universität Berlin, where innovative work on multimodal interaction and user experience methods was conducted. Stefan holds a Dr.-Ing. in Human-Computer Interaction from Technische Universität Berlin and has contributed to multiple research efforts, including cognitive modeling and the development of algorithms for modality selection.
