Shanen Boettcher

Shanen Boettcher, PhD has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Shanen is currently serving as the Chief AI Policy Officer at AI21 Labs, where they focus on building advanced language models and solving complex software engineering challenges. Prior to this, Shanen was involved in responsible innovation as part of the Product + Ethics team at Responsible Innovation Labs.

Prior to that, Shanen earned a Master of Arts (MA) in Religions and Education from the University of Warwick between 2016 and 2019. Additionally, Shanen holds a Bachelor's degree in Economics and International Relations from Carroll College. Shanen has also obtained an Academy Accreditation in Databricks Lakehouse Fundamentals from Databricks in 2023.
