Sean MacKay is an architecture student and Caldwell Fellow at North Carolina State University. They are the President of the NC State chapter of the American Institute of Architecture Students (AIAS). They have completed internships at Ecoheal (Sustainable Construction Intern, 2023), Elkus Manfredi Architects (Architecture Shadow, 2023), Research Facilities Design (Architectural Intern, 2024), and Fentress Architects (Architectural Intern, 2025). They worked as a Research Assistant at North Carolina State University (2023–2024) to develop, edit, and index "At the Vanishing Point in History: Critical Perspectives on the Russia-Ukraine War" (Bloomsbury 2024). They are pursuing a Bachelor of Environmental Design and a Bachelor of Architecture with a Philosophy Minor at NC State, maintaining a 4.0 GPA.
