Haoran Li

Haoran Li is a Senior HVAC Engineer at Aibel since January 2023, with previous experience as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from September 2017 to January 2023, focusing on district heating and building HVAC systems. Li also served as a PhD Researcher at NTNU, concentrating on the optimal design and control of district heating systems and HVAC systems under dynamic energy pricing. A visiting researcher at Berkeley Lab facilitated Li's involvement in the development of the CityBES platform. Prior experience includes working as a Thermal and HVAC Engineer at the China Aviation Planning and Design Institute, where Li contributed to 19 projects, and as an Assistant Thermal Engineer at North China Municipal Engineering Design & Research Institute. Li holds a PhD in District heating and HVAC system modelling from NTNU, a Master of Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, and a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Science and Technology Beijing.
