Elizabeth Young

Elizabeth Young serves as the Director of Tax Practice & Ethics at the AICPA since March 2024, acting as a subject matter expert for tax practice and ethics while managing strategic relationships across various organizations. Prior experience includes a role as Senior Manager of Risk Management - Tax at KPMG US, where comprehensive knowledge of professional standards was applied to guide partners and engagement teams. Elizabeth has a robust background in tax policy and advocacy, having previously led initiatives at the AICPA and worked with KPMG's Washington National Tax office. Elizabeth's career began with a focus on tax compliance and consulting at EY and has included significant roles in federal tax analysis at Eaton and El Paso Corporation. Elizabeth holds advanced degrees in taxation and law from Boston University and South Texas College of Law, as well as accountancy degrees from Case Western Reserve University.
