Alemnew Sheferaw Asrese

Alemnew Sheferaw Asrese has a diverse work experience spanning from 2012 to 2022. In 2012, they were a Web Developer and Programmer at Collaboratorio, Green Prefab. In 2013, they were a Software Developer Intern at NEC Laboratories Europe. From 2014 to 2018, they were a Software Developer and PhD Candidate at Aalto University. Alemnew Sheferaw also held visiting researcher positions at Technical University Munich in 2017 and 2018 and at Inria in 2017. In 2016, they were a Visiting PhD Student at Simula Research Laboratory. In 2020, they were a Senior Cloud Developer at Ericsson. In 2021, they were a Senior Software Engineer, Cloud at Skylo Technologies. Currently, they are a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer at Aidence, where they are responsible for managing, automating and monitoring development pipelines as well as deployment sites (cloud) to run AI tools for detecting lung cancer nodules.

Alemnew Sheferaw Asrese obtained a Bachelor's Degree in Information Science from Adama Science and Technology University in 2010. Alemnew Sheferaw then went on to earn a Master's Degree in Computer Science from Università di Trento in 2014. In 2016, they obtained two additional certifications from IE Business School in Leading & Coaching and Strategic Management. Finally, they earned a Doctor of Science (Tech.) in Networking Technology from Aalto University in 2021.
