Kathie Hiers

Kathie Hiers has a strong background in nonprofit work, particularly in the field of AIDS support and advocacy. Kathie began their career in 1997 as the Executive Director of Mobile AIDS Support Services, where they provided leadership and direction for the organization until 2001. In 2002, Hiers became the CEO of AIDS Alabama Inc, a position they still hold. In 2008, they expanded their impact by joining the National AIDS Housing Coalition, initially serving as Vice President from 2008 to 2010 and later as President from 2010 to 2014. Throughout their career, Kathie Hiers has demonstrated a commitment to improving the lives of individuals affected by HIV/AIDS.

Kathie Hiers attended the University of South Alabama from 1972 to 1978, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in English Language and Literature/Letters.
