Ryan D Dye

Ryan D Dye, Ph.D has extensive experience in the field of education abroad and international education. Ryan D is currently Vice President of Partnership Development at AIFS Abroad, where they are responsible for developing partnerships. Prior to this, they served as the Director of Education Abroad at Miami University from 2019 to 2023, where they provided overall institutional leadership for study abroad programs. Before that, they worked at St. Ambrose University for over 18 years, holding various positions such as Director of International Education, Professor of History, Coordinator of the Middle East Institute, Director of the Irish Studies Program, and History Department Chair. In these roles, they oversaw international education programs, led curriculum internationalization initiatives, and organized public programming. Overall, Dr. Dye has a strong background in education abroad and a proven track record of leadership in the field.

Ryan D Dye, Ph.D received their Bachelor of Arts degree in Program of Liberal Studies and Theology from the University of Notre Dame in 1995. Ryan D then went on to earn their Ph.D in History from Northwestern University in 2000. Additionally, they have obtained various certifications, including a Professional Certification in Education Abroad from The Forum On Education Abroad in November 2017 and a Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Training: Badge of Completion from Miami University in 2023. Ryan D has also completed multiple competencies and workshops related to education abroad and internationalization initiatives. Furthermore, they hold the qualification of Qualified Administrator from INTERCULTURAL DEVELOPMENT INVENTORY, LLC (IDI, LLC).
