James Koch

James Koch is currently serving as Vice President at AIG Technical Services, LLC since February 2024. Prior to this role, Koch held the position of Director of Transportation Planning and Development at the Texas Department of Transportation from August 2019 to January 2024, where responsibilities included overseeing planning and development for projects generating $1 billion in annual construction lettings. Koch's extensive experience in transportation includes a previous role as Director of Transportation at Gunda Corporation from January 2017 to August 2019, leading multiple project planning and design efforts in the Houston Region and statewide. Koch's career began at the Texas Department of Transportation in June 1987, where a long tenure as Director of Transportation Planning and Development involved managing various projects within the Houston District and the Houston Galveston Area Council Region. Koch holds a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin, earned in December 1982.
