Nelson Ferreira

Nelson Ferreira is an insurance executive with over 25 years of experience in a global insurance company, having held multiple roles including finance, underwriting, and management. Currently, they serve as the Country Manager for AIG Portugal, where they lead the organization’s strategic vision and engage with key stakeholders in the Portuguese insurance industry. Nelson has also been a Board Member of AMCHAM Portugal since 2022, actively participating in the Sustainability Commission. They have a background in Financial Lines underwriting, specializing in D&O, Professional Indemnity, and Cyber Insurance, and hold multiple academic qualifications including a Bachelor’s Degree from The Open University and an Executive MBA from The Lisbon MBA.
