Richard O'Brien

Richard O'Brien is a seasoned risk management professional with extensive experience in various leadership roles at AIG since June 2007. Currently serving as Head of Market and Credit Risk and Head of Operational Controls and Governance within the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) division, Richard O'Brien oversees the design and implementation of global risk frameworks, leading a team of over 40 members. Previous positions at AIG include Chief Risk Officer for Asia Pacific and CFO for Global Property and Special Risks, focusing on capital management, strategic reviews, and operational controls. Prior experience includes managerial roles at General Motors and Morgan Stanley, complemented by an MBA from Cornell Johnson Graduate School of Management and a Bachelor of Science in Finance from University College Cork.
