Scott Horton

Deputy General Counsel and Head of Corporate Compliance

Scott Horton is the Deputy General Counsel and Head of Corporate Compliance at AIG, overseeing all financial crime matters, including AML and sanctions compliance. Prior to this, Scott served as Associate General Counsel and Global Head of the Financial Crimes Group at AIG and was a Director and OFAC Counsel at Credit Suisse, where they notably led the institution out from under a Deferred Prosecution Agreement. Scott began their legal career as a litigation Associate at Skadden and spent several years in private practice at Lovells/Hogan Lovells LLP, focusing on white collar crime and litigation. Additionally, Scott served as a Captain and Judge Advocate in the U.S. Army Reserve, handling a range of serious cases. Scott holds a BA in Communications & Media Studies, an MBA, and a Juris Doctor from Fordham University.
