Suzy Awford

Suzy Awford is an experienced professional in regulatory and government affairs, currently serving as the Head of International Regulatory & Government Affairs at AIG since January 2016. Prior to this role, Suzy held the position of Head of Regulatory & Government Affairs for the UK & EMEA at AIG. With a background that includes serving as Vice President of Corporate Affairs at Genworth from September 2010 to December 2015, and Managing Director at DLA Piper's Global Government Relations from November 1999 to August 2010, Suzy has extensive expertise in corporate affairs and government relations. Earlier in the career, Suzy was Head of Research and EU at AS Biss (now MHP) from 1996 to 1999 and worked at the House of Commons in the Department of the Clerk from 1995 to 1996. Suzy holds a BA Hons in History from the University of York and has additional education from the University of Amsterdam and the British Institute in Florence, where Italian language studies were completed.
