The INTERNATIONAL ASSOCIATION OF CONFERENCE INTERPRETERS (AIIC) brings together over 3,000 professionals from every continent. For over 60 years, AIIC has promoted high standards of quality and ethics. Our activities and projects aim to help individual practitioners and the worldwide community of interpreters meet the challenges of a rapidly changing world. 

AIIC has also concluded collective agreements governing the remuneration and working conditions of all interpreters freelancing for many international organisations. 

If you use interpreters, AIIC standards and working conditions ensure quality of service. If you are an interpreter, joining AIIC provides recognition, networking, representation and a chance to influence globally acknowledged standards. If you train interpreters or receive training yourself, AIIC provides guidance and supports research.
