Shannon McLain Sims, PhD, is a Core Faculty Member in the Department of Mind-Body Medicine at Saybrook University since August 2019, and also serves as the Houston Coordinator and Mentor for Saybrook students. In addition, Shannon has roles as an Adjunct Faculty Member, Graduate Teaching Fellow, and Postdoctoral Fellow at Saybrook University. Currently, Shannon works as a Health Coach and Mind-Body Specialist at Aila Health. Previously, Shannon operated a private practice at Spirit Sukha, focusing on holistic wellness, and served as Office Manager at The Healing Space. Shannon began academic research as a Student Researcher in the Psychology Department at Lawrence University, contributing to qualitative and quantitative studies. Educational background includes a PhD and Master’s degree in Mind-Body Medicine from Saybrook University and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Lawrence University.
