Dr. Alejandra Huerta's work experience starts in 2014 with a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Organic Chemistry from McGill University. During their time at McGill, they also served as a laboratory teaching assistant for organic and general chemistry courses. In 2018, they pursued an MBA certificate and took various courses in management and executive development at the McGill Executive Institute.

In 2019, Dr. Huerta participated in the Lean Startup Program at the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship. The following year, they interned as an R&D intern at Precare. In the same year, they also participated in the Dobson Cup - Innovation Driven Enterprise program at the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship.

In 2020, Dr. Huerta co-founded AIM Colours, a company that combines cosmetics with technology to revolutionize self-expression. AIM Colours allows eCosmetic applications to wirelessly change color using a mobile device.

Dr. Huerta joined the Hardware Catalyst Initiative at ventureLAB in 2023, as well as the 14th Cohort at FounderFuel. Dr. Alejandra also participated in the International Pre-Seed Funding Roadshow and the X1 Accelerator at the McGill Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship in 2022.

Dr. Alejandra Huerta completed their education at McGill University. From 2014 to 2021, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Chemistry. In May 2019, they successfully completed programs in "Communicating effectively," "Effective leadership," and "Strategic problem solving" at McGill University's Desautels Faculty of Management.
