Samhaa El Beltagy

Samhaa El Beltagy is currently the Co-Founder and Chief of R&D at AIM Technologies. Samhaa was previously employed at Newgiza University for 3 years and 8 months, where they held the positions of Dean of the School of Information Technology, Senior Consultant, and Head Of Research And Development at Optomatica. Prior to that, they were employed at Cairo University for 16 years, where they held the positions of Full Professor, Associate Professor, and Assistant Professor. Samhaa was also employed at Nile University for 8 years, where they served as Director of the Computer Science Program, Director of the Center for Informatics Science, Director of the Informatics Program, Full Professor, and Head of the Text Mining Research Group. Additionally, they have also served as Acting Dean- The School of Communication and Information Technology, and Associate Professor. Most recently, they were employed as the Head of the Knowledge Engineering Department at The Central Lab for Agricultural Expert Systems for 2 years before taking their current position at AIM Technologies. Samhaa El Beltagy’s career in academia began as a Research Assistant at the University of Southampton, where they worked for 4 years.

Samhaa El Beltagy has a PhD from the University of Southampton in Computer Science, which they obtained in 2001. Samhaa also has an MSc in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo, which they obtained in 1997, and a BSc in Computer Science from the American University in Cairo, which they obtained in 1993.
