Shivani Maharaj is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in content and partnerships within the media industry. Currently serving as the Chief Content & Partnerships Officer at Wavemaker ANZ since November 2017, Shivani delivers creative media solutions, including branded content and influencer marketing, while leading a team dedicated to emotionally engaging storytelling. Shivani also contributes to the Australian Influencer Marketing Council as a Guiding Council Member and Sponsorship Chair for the AiMCo Awards. Previous roles include General Manager and Head of Innovation & Partnerships at Maxus Global, as well as various positions at MediaCom Australia, where Shivani managed media implementation planning and investment for notable clients. Shivani's academic background includes a Bachelor of Communications from Western Sydney University and a brief study in Computer Science at the University of Sydney.

The Australian Influencer Marketing Council (AIMCO) was formed by experts from across the influencer marketing community providing leadership to guide the industry on best practice in order to establish a baseline of accepted practices when engaging in influencer marketing. AIMCO is an alliance of Australian companies engaged in influencer marketing working together to elevate best practice in order to address industry trust and transparency issues. Its aim is to foster a united voice of industry professionals to provide guidance and knowledge to this thriving marketing sector. AIMCO was formed by the Audited Media Association of Australia (AMAA), a not-for-profit industry association, in September 2019.
