Dylan Oelofse

Dylan Oelofse has a diverse work experience in the financial industry. Dylan is currently working at the Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo) as a Risk Director, overseeing Public Equity and Tactical investments. Prior to that, they served as a Senior Risk Manager at AIMCo. Dylan also worked for the Government of Alberta as a Trader, managing the issuance of commercial paper and advising on derivative strategies.

Before their time at AIMCo and the government, Dylan was a Portfolio Manager at Abax Investments, where they managed various income portfolios and conducted research on the macroeconomic environment. Dylan also worked at Barclays Africa Group Limited as a ZAR Interest Rate Swap Trader, executing trades and assisting clients in achieving their financial goals.

Their earlier experience includes roles at Barclays Investment Bank as a CEE Rates Trader and at Barclays Africa Group Limited as a Graduate, where they completed a rotation program and developed financial analysis skills.

Dylan Oelofse passed CFA Level 2 in 2019 from the CFA Institute. In 2009, they graduated from the University of the Witwatersrand with a BSc With Honours in Actuarial Science. Prior to that, they obtained their High School Diploma from King Edward VII School in 2005. In addition to their formal education, they also obtained additional certifications including Data Scientist with R Track from DataCamp in 2019 and Data Scientist with Python Track from DataCamp in 2018.
