Jean David Tremblay-Frenette has extensive work experience in the financial industry. Jean David started their career as a Financial Analyst with Credit Suisse First Boston, where they performed financial analysis and advised clients on investments. Jean David then joined the Strategic Investments Group at Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec, where they generated analysis of the asset management industry and supported private equity and strategic transactions. Jean also worked as the Chief Analyst of Strategy and Corporate Development at the National Bank of Canada, where they advised the CFO on potential acquisitions and strategic partnerships. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Economist and Director of Investment Strategy Research at Alberta Investment Management Corporation (AIMCo). In this role, they provide macroeconomic and financial market forecasts, leads quantitative research projects, and runs customized portfolio optimization for clients' asset allocation. Jean has a strong track record of achieving value-add across different asset classes and driving portfolio performance.
Jean David Tremblay-Frenette has a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance from UQAM | Université du Québec à Montréal, which they obtained from 1995 to 1998. Jean David also completed an M.Sc. degree in International Securities, Investment and Banking from the University of Reading from 1998 to 1999. In addition, Tremblay-Frenette participated in an exchange program at SKEMA Business School from 1997 to 1998.
