AIPPI, the International Association for the Protection of Intellectual Property, is a non-affiliated, non-profit organisation founded in 1897. The purpose of the association is the international development and harmonization of intellectual property law. AIPPI Germany is the German group of AIPPI. The members of AIPPI include attorneys at law, patent attorneys, legal scholars, scientists and judges working across all fields of intellectual property throughout the world. AIPPI has more than 8,000 members from over 110 countries. The German national group has about 800 members, making it currently the biggest national group.
