Ann Schneider has been working in the field of photography research and editing for over three decades. Ann started their career as a Photography Research Assistant at Sygma Photo News in 1984 and then moved on to work as a Photography Researcher at Archive Pictures from 1985 to 1988. Ann continued their research work as the Sole Photography Researcher at Interview Magazine from 1988 to 1990. From 1990 to 1991, they worked as a Photography Researcher at Vanity Fair and then joined Vogue as a Photography Researcher in 1991. Ann Schneider then returned to Vanity Fair and served as a Senior Photography Research Editor from 1992 to 2018. In 2019, they took the role of Photo Director at Air Mail. Throughout their career, they have demonstrated their expertise in sourcing and providing existing imagery for various publications and productions.
Ann Schneider attended the Minneapolis College of Art and Design from 1979 to 1983, earning a B.F.A. in Painting and Photography. Additionally, they studied Drawing and Painting at the Art Students League of New York and the Brooklyn Museum Art School, although the specific years and degrees obtained from these institutions are unknown.
