Mike Ojeda

Mike Ojeda brings extensive experience in aviation and union leadership. Currently serving as Secretary-Treasurer for OPEIU LOCAL 109 since January 2018, Mike is responsible for maintaining financial and personnel records and ensuring compliance with federal reporting requirements. In addition, Mike has been a Lead Pilot/Base Manager and Safety Officer for Air Methods since October 2006, overseeing base operations and conducting safety meetings while flying various aircraft for emergency medical services. Previous military service includes roles as an AH64A/D Maintenance Test Pilot with the 101st Airborne US Army and as a Helicopter Pilot/Logistics Specialist in the US Army, where Mike completed numerous combat missions. Mike holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science of Professional Aeronautics from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master’s degree in Aeronautical Science with a focus on Safety Systems.
