Benjamin Ryan MSc, CAIA, FRM currently serves as a Member of the Board of Directors for Destination Canada, contributing to the enhancement of tourism's impact on the quality of life for Canadians. As Chief Commercial Officer at Air North, Yukon's Airline since October 2016, Benjamin focuses on integrating teamwork and technology to optimize Sales, Marketing, and Customer Experience while promoting sustainable business practices in Northern aviation. In addition, as Founder, President, and CEO of Chieftain Energy LP, Benjamin advocates for local and First Nation ownership in the energy sector, emphasizing innovation and operational excellence. Previous roles include Co-Chair of the Mät'àtäna Development Committee, where efforts centered on indigenous self-determination through sustainable tourism, and participation in the Yukon Tourism Development Strategy Governance Task Force. Benjamin holds an MSc in Financial Economics from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford, and a BCom in Finance from Sprott School of Business at Carleton University.
