Stu Ferguson

Stu Ferguson is an experienced educator and outdoor instructor with a diverse background in tutoring and leadership. Currently working as a tutor at Air Tutors and Varsity Tutors since December 2022, Stu specializes in humanities for middle school students in both group and one-on-one settings. As a Field Instructor for NOLS since August 2019, Stu focuses on teaching leadership skills and outdoor techniques to students of all ages. Previously, as a Teacher and House Dean at St. Christopher's School from July 2014 to June 2022, Stu managed the wellbeing of students and collaborated with faculty to enhance school programs. Early experiences include roles as a Snow Maker and Ski Tuner at Deer Valley Resort and a Raft Guide at Flying Pig Adventure Company. Stu holds a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University and a Bachelor’s degree in Philosophy from Auburn University.
