Eric Uhlhorn

Eric Uhlhorn has a diverse work experience, starting with their role as a System Analyst at PRC, Inc. from May 1993 to June 1994. Eric then worked as a Research Associate III at the University of Miami from July 1997 to July 2006. Following this, they joined NOAA: National Oceanic & Atmospheric Administration as a Research Meteorologist from July 2006 to November 2015. Currently, Eric is the Principal Scientist at Verisk - extreme event solutions since November 2015.

Eric Uhlhorn has an extensive education history in the field of meteorology and physical oceanography. Eric obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Meteorology from Florida State University, where they studied from 1989 to 1993. This was followed by a Master of Science (MS) degree in Physical Oceanography from the Florida Institute of Technology, which they pursued between 1994 and 1997. Eric then went on to complete their education with a PhD in Meteorology and Physical Oceanography from the University of Miami Rosenstiel School of Marine, Atmospheric and Earth Science, where they studied from 1999 to 2008.
