Application Engineer Team Lead at Air2O

Mahmoud Hamdy has diverse work experience in various fields.

Mahmoud is currently working as an Application Engineer Team Lead at Air2O "Intelligent Cooling Solutions" since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as an Application Engineer at the same company from April 2021 to January 2023. In this role, they worked on designing custom air handlers and ultra-low dewpoint applications, created AutoCAD drawings, and prepared technical submittals.

From October 2019 to April 2022, Mahmoud was a Team Lead at Team Lycans. Mahmoud led a team of 20 members in the SAE Aero design competition, managing the workflow, ensuring task quality, and overseeing the output of all sub-teams.

In 2018, they joined Aquaphoton Academy as a sealing team member for the MATE International Competition for ROV. In their time there, they improved the sealing mechanism design and worked as a station tether man.

In 2018 and 2019, Mahmoud worked as a Brakes Team Leader at Enginering@work - Shell Eco-Marathon, leading the team responsible for the brake system.

For a brief period in 2017, they gained foundational knowledge in car diagnosis and repairs as a Trainee at Mercedes Benz - German Auto Service Egypt. Additionally, they worked as a Trainee at Beyti - A Joint Venture of Almarai & Pepsico and Sidi Kerir Petrochemicals Co. (Sidpec).

Mahmoud Hamdy pursued their Bachelor of Applied Science in Electromechanical Engineering from Alexandria University. Mahmoud attended the university from 2015 to 2020. In addition to their degree, they obtained various certifications. These include a Master Machine Learning and AI Diploma from AMIT Learning, which they received in December 2022. Mahmoud also acquired certifications in Probability, Statistics, and Introduction to Data and Data Science from 365 Data Science in June 2023, March 2023, and January 2023 respectively. Furthermore, Mahmoud obtained a Problem Solving certification from HackerRank in September 2022 and an Associate certification as a SolidWorks Designer in August 2020. Lastly, they obtained a certification in Computational Fluid Dynamics from the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University, Egypt in August 2019.
