Cheng Huang

Cheng Huang is an experienced engineering manager and machine learning expert with a strong background in payments technology and data platforms. At Airbnb from January 2015 to January 2021, Cheng led the Payments Machine Learning team, overseeing engineers and data scientists to develop machine learning solutions for fraud detection, compliance risk management, and checkout optimization. Prior to this role, Cheng served as a Tech Lead and Staff Machine Learning Engineer, defining the vision and architecture for fraud detection systems. Cheng's earlier experience includes working as a software engineer at Google from January 2011 to January 2015, focusing on data platforms. Cheng holds a Master of Science in Computer and Information Science from the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Science from Wuhan University.
