Michael Kinoti

Michael Kinoti is a seasoned engineering leader with extensive experience in technology roles across several high-profile companies. Currently serving as the Director of Engineering for Marketing Technology at Airbnb since February 2020, Michael oversees critical platforms that support programmatic advertising, email marketing, and communication infrastructure. Additionally, Michael is a fellow at the Black Venture Institute, contributing to the development of future Black venture capitalists. Prior to Airbnb, Michael held positions at Uber as a Senior Engineering Manager leading customer engagement initiatives and at Microsoft, where contributions to Bing Search spanned multiple leadership roles. Michael holds a Bachelor of Science in Software Engineering from the Florida Institute of Technology and completed an Executive Education program in Leadership and Strategy at Harvard University.
