Seema Gupta

Seema Gupta currently serves as the Director and Head of Global Commercial & Product Policy at Airbnb since June 2023. Prior to this role, Gupta held various positions at Amazon from March 2015 to June 2023, including Director & Associate General Counsel for Amazon Alexa, where responsibilities included leading a legal team for customer-facing features and international expansion. Additional roles at Amazon Alexa included Senior Counsel and Corporate Counsel, contributing to significant growth in the Alexa Skills catalog. Gupta also served as Corporate Counsel for Amazon Web Services, focusing on strategic enterprise deals. A 2019 Fellow at the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity and a former Litigation Associate at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP, Gupta has substantial experience in litigation, regulatory issues, and compliance. Gupta holds a Doctor of Law (J.D.) from Columbia Law School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and Philosophy from the University of Maryland.
