Tomoko Yates

Tomoko Yates is a seasoned design professional currently serving as a Staff Experience Designer at Airbnb since June 2022, where innovative design initiatives enhance community connections. Previously, Tomoko held the position of Group Design Director at Angi, leading a major rebranding effort and launching a digital product team. At Glossier, Inc., Tomoko developed e-commerce experiences that reflected the brand's community-driven ethos, and served as an Adjunct Instructor at the School of Visual Arts, teaching interaction design. As an Associate Design Director at Work & Co, Tomoko created impactful digital products that aligned with client objectives. Tomoko earned a BFA in Design from The University of Texas at Austin and also participated in a summer program at Danmarks Designskole focused on furniture design.
