Rich Zins has a diverse work experience in the aviation industry. Rich started their career in the US Navy as a naval aviator and later became a test pilot, serving from 1989 until 2010. In 2007, they worked as the commanding officer for VFA-87. Since 2011, they have held various roles at ATAC (Airborne Tactical Advantage Company), including director of air to ground programs, director of business development, and director of operations on the West Coast. Currently, they hold the position of vice president of business operations at ATAC.
Rich Zins began their education journey in 1984 and completed it in 1989 at Cornell University. Rich obtained a Master of Engineering degree in Applied and Engineering Physics during this time. Later on, they attended the United States Naval Test Pilot School, where they pursued a Graduate degree in Fixed Wing Flight Test. It is not specified when they started or completed this program. Additionally, Rich Zins obtained the Airline Transport Pilot certification from the Federal Aviation Administration in May 2016.
