Dirk Dautzenberg has a diverse work experience in the aerospace industry. Dirk started their career as an intern at Lockheed Martin Aeronautics, where they worked as a manufacturing engineer for the F35 project. Dirk then pursued an internship at Atkins Nedtech before joining Atkins as a Project Manager and Conceptual Engineer. At Atkins, Dirk managed multiple projects for clients in the UK, Germany, and Canada, leading transnational project teams and overseeing various aspects such as budget control, communication, planning, reviews, quality procedures, and team resourcing. Dirk then joined Airborne, where they held several roles, including Project Manager, Senior Project Manager, and currently Manager of Engineering & Projects - Aerospace.
Dirk Dautzenberg holds a Master of Science degree in Design, Integration and Operation of Aircraft and Rotorcraft, which they obtained from Delft University of Technology in the period from 2007 to 2010. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science in Aerospace Engineering at the same university between 2003 and 2008. Dirk received their VWO (pre-university education) from R.S.G. Broklede from 1997 to 2003, specializing in Natuur & Techniek (Science & Technology). In terms of additional certifications, Dirk has completed the Young Executive Program Compact at de Baak in May 2022. In November 2016, they obtained certifications in PRINCE2 Foundation and Prince 2 Practitioner from AXELOS Global Best Practice.
