Ian Marr

Ian Marr is an experienced Modelling & Simulation Scientist and Sustainability Pathways work package lead at Airbus, with a tenure starting in September 2008. Responsibilities encompass leading significant projects such as ONEheart and TransACT, conducting fleet-level performance assessments for sustainably fuelled aircraft, and developing simulation frameworks and surrogate models. Prior roles at Airbus included leading the MBSE framework for preliminary aircraft design and coordinating various work packages. Beginning with an undergraduate engineering position at Pall Europe Ltd, Ian has developed a strong technical foundation, complemented by an Engineering Doctorate in Systems Engineering from the University of Bristol and a Master of Engineering in Aeronautical Engineering from Loughborough University.
