Robert Geckle Jr

Robert Geckle Jr's work experience includes various leadership roles in the aerospace industry. Robert began their career at Howrey LLP as a Litigation Associate. Robert then joined Hogan & Hartson as a Corporate Associate, specializing in International Business Transactions. In 2005, they joined EADS NV as an Associate General Counsel, where they eventually served as Senior Legal Counsel for M&A.

In 2011, Geckle joined Airbus Americas, Inc., where they held the positions of VP, General Counsel, and Chief Compliance Officer. During their tenure, they oversaw legal and compliance activities for Airbus' U.S. operations, including supporting commercial aviation, rotorcraft, and defense business, as well as establishing an aircraft manufacturing facility in the U.S.

Geckle continued to advance within the Airbus organization, serving as SVP Head of Legal - Industrial Affairs, Europe, North America, and China. In this role, they managed a global legal team, providing support for various industrial and operational activities of Airbus' commercial aviation business.

In 2020, Geckle joined Airbus U.S. Space & Defense, Inc. as the Chief Operating Officer, responsible for leading the company's operations in the U.S. space and defense sector. Robert currently holds the position of Chairman and CEO.

Throughout their career, Geckle has demonstrated expertise in legal and compliance matters, as well as leadership in supporting the growth and operations of aerospace companies.

Robert Geckle Jr has a Doctor of Law - JD degree from Boston College Law School, a Bachelor's degree from Middlebury College, and has also attended Sciences Po. Robert has additional certifications in Admission to NY, DC, CT Bars and Corporate Counsel Admission in VA.
