Mike Moeller has over 25 years of experience in the communications and media relations industry. In 1994, they began their career as a Senior Editor at PC Week Magazine, where they reported on the software industry and the birth of the World Wide Web, spending a good portion of their time covering Microsoft and Netscape. Mike then moved on to BusinessWeek as a Reporter in 1998. In 1999, they were one of the first 15 employees hired by Marc Andreessen and Ben Horowitz to Head of Public Relations for Loudcloud/Opsware, where they handled communications for the company, from launching the company to messaging the IPO. From 2003 to 2007, they were Director of Corporate Media Relations for HP, where they oversaw crisis communications and proactive corporate PR programs. Mike then moved on to Xerox as Director of Corporate Public Relations, responsible for financial, crisis, environmental, brand and R&D public relations programs. In 2010, they became Director of External Relations for IBM, where they had global responsibility for crafting and developing the overall communications strategies and messaging for IBM's security strategy, cloud computing, mobility, and its venture capital strategy. In 2013, they joined Avaya as Vice President of Communications, where they were tasked with revamping all aspects of the Avaya brand and public perception. In 2014, they became Vice President of Brand and Communications for Marketo, an Adobe Company, where they were responsible for global public relations, executive communications, employee communication, brand strategy, social and advertising. In 2015, they joined Oracle as Vice President of Marketing Communications/Global Public Relations, with a charter to reshape public perception of the company as it pivots to Cloud computing. In 2017, they launched Aircover Communications, a boutique strategic communications and media relations firm focused on helping enterprise technology companies tell their story.
