Scott A. Smith

Scott A. Smith is a Partner in Environmental and Indigenous Resource Law at Aird & Berlis LLP, where they lead a national practice addressing the intersection of environmental, Indigenous, energy, and natural resource law. They represent Indigenous groups and businesses in various regulatory hearings, litigation, and negotiations. Previously, Scott served as a Partner and Associate at Gowling WLG from 2017 to 2024. Scott holds a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, an LLB in Law, an MS in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology, and a BS in Environment from McGill University.
