Michael Odling-Smee

Michael Odling-Smee has a diverse work experience that spans several industries. Michael is currently the Founder and Director of Aire Innovate, a position they have held since February 2022. Prior to this, they were the Founder and Technical Director of Aire Logic Limited, specializing in healthcare ICT, from May 2007 onwards. Michael also served as a Director and ICT consultant for the same company in 2007.

Before joining Aire Logic Limited, Michael worked as a Lead Integration Architect at BT Global Services from 2004 to 2010. Michael was a Software Architect at Burns e-Commerce Solutions from March 2002 to November 2004 and a Java Consultant at Concise Group Limited from April 2000 to March 2002.

Michael's earlier experience includes a role as a Post Doctoral Research Assistant at the University of Manchester from September 1998 to December 1999. In this position, they managed a major experimental physics project, designing and building apparatus and organizing equipment transportation to Italy for the experiment.

Michael Odling-Smee started their education at King's College Taunton from 1986 to 1991. Here, they completed their 3 'A' levels in Physics, Mathematics, and Geography, with grades of A, B, and B respectively. Michael also obtained 11 GCSEs with grades of C or above.

In 1991, Michael earned a Diploma in French for foreign students from Universite D'Aix-Marseille.

From 1992 to 1995, they attended Newcastle University, where they pursued a BSc. (Hons.) degree in Astronomy and Astrophysics.

Following that, Michael pursued a PhD in Atomic and Molecular Physics at The University of Manchester from 1995 to 1998.
