Rob Bailiff is a software developer with extensive experience in data engineering and processing, currently working at Aire Logic Limited since July 2021. In this role, Rob has contributed to the NHS England Vaccination Programme by utilizing Python, Pyspark, SQL, and Databricks to develop and maintain data processing pipelines and an engine for vaccination invitations. Prior experience includes a contractual position as a data engineer for the NHS Digital Data Production Team, focusing on automating data production and creating data extracts. Rob has also worked as a Python developer on a project for a digital child assessment solution, processing XML data and utilizing Elasticsearch. Earlier in their career, from October 2007 to July 2021, Rob served as a geologist at Getech, where Rob conducted research on palaeogeology and palaeogeography through the collection and analysis of geological data. Rob holds a BSc in Geological Sciences from the University of Leeds, completed in 2007.
