Aliyah Govani

Aliyah Govani has a diverse work experience in finance, HR, research, and education. From 2015 onwards, they worked as the Head of Finance and HR at AirFind. Prior to that, they served as a Graduate Research Assistant at the Ontario Institute Studies for Education, University of Toronto from 2014 to 2016. Additionally, they worked at Hammond Elementary School, first as a Grade 1, 2, 3 Montessori Teacher from 2010 to 2014, and then as a Grade 2/3 Job Share Teacher for a brief period in 2010. During their time at the school, they led staff meetings, taught a multi-age group of students, and implemented individual programs for Individualized Education Programs (I.E.P).

Aliyah Govani obtained a Bachelor's degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University in 2005. In 2007, they further pursued their education at the same university and obtained another Bachelor's degree, this time in Elementary Education and Teaching. Following that, they attended the NORTH AMERICAN MONTESSORI CENTER in 2010, where they obtained a Montessori diploma in Montessori Teacher Education. Lastly, they pursued a Master's degree in Education at the Ontario Institute for Studies in Education of the University of Toronto starting in 2014.
